1. About these terms
These terms form an agreement between you and Stavros Pournias, trading as Agora Studio (“Agora Studio”, “we”, “us”) when you create a Drachma account or use the Drachma mobile application and its related services (together, the “Service”). Drachma is the product name.
Your app-store provider's terms also apply to downloading, licensing and paying for the app. On Apple platforms, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement applies to the app licence unless a different agreement is shown by Apple. If a store term and these terms address the same issue inconsistently, the store term controls to the extent required for that platform.
2. Who may use Drachma
Drachma is not directed at children under 13. You must be legally able to agree to these terms. If the law where you live requires a parent or guardian to agree or supervise your use, they must do so. A parent or guardian should approve any purchase made by a person under 18.
3. Your account
- Provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in details and devices secure.
- You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless it resulted from our failure to use reasonable care.
- Tell us promptly at support@getdrachma.app if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
- Drachma is intended for personal and household use, not use on behalf of clients or as a professional accounting, tax or financial-advice system.
4. A tracking tool, not financial advice
The Service organises the information you enter and performs calculations based on it. Budgets, projections, recurring entries, Balance Checks and other figures may be incomplete, estimated or affected by incorrect or missing data. Drachma does not monitor your bank account or guarantee that a payment, bill, refund, return deadline or other event will be identified.
You remain responsible for checking important figures against source records and for your own spending, saving, tax, borrowing and investment decisions. Seek an appropriately qualified professional where you need financial, tax, legal, debt or investment advice.
5. Licence to use the app
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use Drachma on devices you own or control, subject to these terms and the applicable app-store usage rules. You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, reverse engineer or commercially exploit the app except where applicable law expressly permits it.
6. Your content and data
You retain ownership of the financial records, notes, categories, attachments and other content you add. You give us permission to host, copy, process and display that content only as needed to operate, secure and maintain the Service, comply with law and provide support you request. This permission ends when the content is deleted, except for limited copies that may remain temporarily in provider backups or where retention is legally required.
You must have the right to upload any content you add. Do not upload unlawful material, malware, another person's confidential information without authority, or bank passwords, full payment-card details, authentication codes or similar security credentials.
How we collect, use, retain and delete personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
7. Free features and Drachma Plus
Drachma may offer a free tier and optional paid Drachma Plus subscriptions. The features, limits, billing period, total price, currency, taxes where applicable, and any trial or introductory offer are shown before you confirm a purchase. A subscription is not required to use the free features identified in the app.
- Automatic renewal: monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically for the same period until cancelled, unless the purchase screen says otherwise.
- Billing: Apple or Google charges the payment method associated with your store account. We do not receive your full card details.
- Trials and offers: if an offer converts to a paid subscription, the duration and price charged after it ends will be shown before purchase. Cancel before the displayed deadline if you do not want it to renew as a paid subscription.
- Cancellation: manage or cancel through your Apple App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Cancellation normally stops the next renewal; access usually continues until the end of the paid period.
- Deleting Drachma: uninstalling the app or deleting your Drachma account does not cancel a store subscription. Cancel it separately through the store. Deleting your account removes the account through which Plus features are delivered, subject to the 30-day deletion process described below.
- Restore: Restore Purchases can ask the store to find an eligible previous purchase. You may need to use the same Apple or Google account and the relevant Drachma account.
- Refunds: refund requests are handled in accordance with the applicable app-store rules and mandatory consumer law. Depending on the platform, region and circumstances, you may request a refund through Apple or Google or contact us at support@getdrachma.app. Nothing in these terms limits any statutory refund, withdrawal or other consumer right.
We may update Plus features as the Service develops, but we will not knowingly deprive you of the paid service for your current subscription period without an appropriate remedy or where the law permits otherwise. Store-managed price changes and any required notice or consent are handled under the applicable store rules.
8. Availability, updates and backups
We provide the Service with reasonable care and skill, but no online service is uninterrupted. Maintenance, internet or provider failures, device changes and events outside our reasonable control may temporarily affect availability. We may release updates needed for security, compatibility or functionality; older versions may eventually stop working correctly.
You should review important records and make exports or backups appropriate to your needs. Drachma's export and backup tools reduce risk but do not replace your responsibility to keep any records you are legally or practically required to retain.
9. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Service unlawfully, fraudulently or to harm another person;
- attempt to bypass access controls, subscription checks, quotas or security measures;
- interfere with, overload, scrape or probe the Service or another user's account;
- introduce malicious code or use automated access except through a feature or interface we provide; or
- use Drachma in a way that infringes intellectual-property, privacy or other legal rights.
10. Our intellectual property
Drachma, its software, design, branding, documentation and site content are owned by us or our licensors. These terms do not transfer those rights to you. Feedback is welcome; if you send a suggestion, you allow us to use it without an obligation to implement or pay for it, while you retain ownership of any rights you already hold in it.
11. Third-party services
The Service relies on app stores, authentication, hosting, storage, crash reporting and purchase-management providers. Their own terms and privacy policies may apply to their services. We are not responsible for a third-party service merely because Drachma links to or interoperates with it, but this does not limit our responsibility where the law makes us responsible for our choice or use of a provider.
12. Suspending or ending access
You may stop using Drachma at any time. You can request account deletion in Settings. A requested deletion has a 30-day grace period during which it can be cancelled; after that, active account data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users or the Service, investigate suspected misuse, comply with law, or respond to a serious or repeated breach of these terms. Where practical and lawful, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. If we permanently discontinue a paid Service, we will provide any refund or alternative required by law.
13. Responsibility when something goes wrong
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your mandatory consumer rights.
If we breach these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage that was a foreseeable result when the agreement was made. We are not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate or incomplete information you entered, a decision you made in reliance on an estimate without checking it, your failure to secure your account or device, or an event outside our reasonable control, except to the extent that we caused or should reasonably have prevented the loss.
Drachma is provided for personal use. We are not responsible for business losses such as lost profit, revenue, opportunity or business interruption arising from use outside that purpose.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes to the Service, stores, providers or law. We will change the “Last updated” date and give reasonable notice in the app, by email or through another appropriate channel before a material change takes effect. Changes will not retrospectively remove rights you have already acquired. If you do not agree, you may stop using the Service and cancel any subscription before the new terms take effect.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you retain any mandatory protections of the law where you live and may be entitled to bring proceedings in your local courts. Please contact support@getdrachma.app first so we can try to resolve a concern informally.
16. Other terms
If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest remains effective. A delay in enforcing a term does not waive it. You may not transfer this agreement without our consent; we may transfer it as part of a genuine transfer of the Service, provided this does not reduce your rights. These terms, the Privacy Policy and any purchase terms shown before checkout form the agreement concerning your use of the Service.
